Deceased Name: Juanita L. Sullivan HannibalAug. 4, 1907 - Nov. 3, 2004 HANNIBAL - Juanita L. Sullivan, 97, of Hannibal, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sullivan was born Aug. 4, 1907, in Hannibal to Albert and Ida Jahnke Suhler. She was married to Leo Sullivan in 1948, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death. Survivors include one great-niece, Catherine Alexander of Independence; and one great-nephew, Rusty Alexander of Willow River, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Henry Suhler and Gordon Suhler (Minnie); and one niece, Juanita Alexander. Mrs. Sullivan was a lifelong Hannibal resident. She worked assisting Dr. Frederick Spencer in his Hannibal practice. She managed the Sealtest Soda Shop in Hannibal for many years. After retirement, she managed a soda fountain in Yellowstone National Park during the summers. She worked at Yellowstone for 25 years. She was an active member of the Hannibal Eagles Club and VFW Post No. 2446, where she loved to volunteer. She equally enjoyed volunteering for the senior dances at the Hannibal Armory. She was a strong and willful woman respected by her family and friends. She never knew a stranger. Friends are welcome to join Juanita's family to celebrate her life at the funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hannibal Nutrition Center or the V.F.W. Post No. 2446.
